Working With Period Records

Select the Calculations You Want to Perform:

After creating the period record, select the specific financial calculations you want to perform. These calculations are taught in depth in The Clear Path To Cash course. Here are the current choices:

  • All – run all calculations in the app.
  • Home Run – perform the 6 calculations of The Home Run Financial System.
    • Use this calculation to analyze any company’s financial statements in minutes.
  • Hidden Cash – perform the 6 calculations to Mining Your Business For Hidden Cash.
    • Use this calculation when you are trying to find where cash may be leaking from your business.
  • Fast Money – perform the 3 steps of The Fast Money Formula.
    • Use this calculation to determine how much money your company has versus how much it should have to operate smoothly.

Enter the Required Data for the Calculation:

  • Once you’ve chosen your desired calculations, the app will guide you through entering the necessary data for those calculations. This data usually includes financial figures found on the income statement, balance sheet, or cash flow statement.
  • You should see only the required financial fields necessary to complete the calculations listed above when you select the type of calculation you are trying to complete.
  • Double-check the accuracy and completeness of the data you input, as this will impact the quality of your financial analysis.

Here is an example of what The Fast Money Formula looks like inside the app, with only the required fields being visible.

Press Submit to Save the Financial Data Record:

  • When you’ve entered all the required data for the selected calculations, click the “Submit” button to save the financial data record.
  • The app will securely store the entered information for your future reference and analysis.

**Editing and Deleting Period Records:**

Period records can be edited or deleted as needed to ensure the accuracy and relevance of your financial data. To do this:

  • Locate the specific period record you want to modify or remove.
  • Click on the record to open it.
  • Look for the options “Edit” or “Delete” icons next to the record.

Select “Edit” if you need to make changes to the data within the record. Make your adjustments and save the changes. Pressing the Submit button saves the changes you have made to the Period Name, Period Date, Period Date Type, or values within the financial data fields.

Select “Delete” if you wish to remove the record entirely. Confirm the deletion to proceed.

NOTE: Only one date may be entered for each Period Record of each Date Type.

  • For example, you may only use 12/31/2023 once for the YEAR Date Type. If a Last Day of Period Date already exists in the company record, you must EDIT the record, not create a new one.
  • The same date may be used for different Date Types, i.e. YEAR, QUARTER, MONTH, YTD.

By following these instructions, you can efficiently manage your financial data, perform essential calculations, and maintain accurate records within “The Clear Path To Cash” app. This streamlined process ensures that you have the necessary insights to make informed financial decisions for your business or clients.
