How do I create and develop the goal for my company

How To Create and Develop the Goal for Your Business

Hey, it’s Cash Flow Mike and I’m walking through the neighborhood, and they have just completed the groundwork for adding more houses.  I’m looking at newly developed land in our subdivision and I thought of the small business owners I’ve worked with over the years and what it was like to start a new business.  It all starts with developing a goal for your business.

Right now, the ground is ready to build on, and the builders are selling the lots.  That means in the near future I’m going to have new neighbors and new stories to tell.

So what do you do with land like this when somebody buys it? The new owners have a dream. They’ve got a vision.  They’ve got a future. They’ve got, well here it is, a Start With The End In Mind.  Right? It’s just like your business you’ve got to start with the end in mind.

When they break into this land and they start to build the foundation for a house, that’s exactly what you’re doing.  You’re visualizing what this piece of property, or your business is going to look like in the future. And as the saying goes, if you want to know what the future holds for you and your business, you have to bring it to the present.

a. What does your idea, the thing you put your blood, sweat and tears into look like?
b. What does it cost?
c
. Can I afford it?

For you to start thinking about the future, I built some worksheets for you.  These worksheets ask you to consider building transferrable value in your business.

What’s transferrable value?  It is determining what you want to do next.  I mean after you leave your current business.  Maybe you want to retire or sell this company and buy into a different type of business.  Whatever your goal, the process of getting there starts today.  It starts with making up your mind about what you might want to do and applying a value (or a cost) to achieve your goal.

Once you know how much it might cost to fund your dream.  Use the backwards planning method to help you build a plan to make it happen.

You can use my worksheets to get the process started.  Just click the link below and download the Start With The End In Mind Calculator and in no time at all you’ll be seeing your future!

Best wishes for success,

Cash Flow Mike
